BACK-UP DONUT

My second shoot with Caitlin had a very clear lesson: always bring your back up donut.

After already shooting together at the graffiti wall in Dumbo, Caitlin and I met back up by Columbus Circle. And let me tell you, what a site we were! Caitlin came with the photo props list in tow, complete with wardrobe changes, donuts, coffee, and of course a fresh Central Park pretzel. We literally stopped traffic in search of the loom using New York grays and blues, speckled with bright yellow cab and flashing city late.

Of course, a highlight for me was definitely when one of Caitlin's friends popped into the frame for a hug mid dog walk. That also meant that we had a little furry friend in one of the more candid shots. It just so happened that we were shooting together on national donut day, so she came prepared with multiple frosting options, and this is one that backed up donut came in handy. After a little frosting smoosh-age and a couple of staged bites-gone-wrong, we were lucky to have our back up donut ready to be pulled out with sprinkles and all to make the shot!

And wait till you see the taxi themed sweater that she rocked at the end of our session together:
